Sunbright Energy Helps Raise £720 for the Ickle pickle Children’s Charity
On 11th April 2026, the Sunbright Energy team swapped solar panels for football boots as we hosted a charity football match in support of the Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity.
Held at The Foundry, the community hub for the West Ham United Foundation, the day brought the entire team together for a great cause — raising vital funds to support some of the UK’s most vulnerable newborns.
It was a brilliant day all round, and one we’re incredibly proud to have been part of.

What is the Ickle Pickle Charity?
The Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity exists to give every newborn the best possible chance in life.
Each year, over 90,000 babies in the UK are born sick or prematurely, many requiring specialist care in neonatal units. These units rely on highly specialised equipment to care for babies in their earliest and most fragile stages of life.
Ickle Pickles is the only charity in the UK dedicated to helping hospitals raise funds for this essential neonatal equipment on a national scale. From incubators to intensive care machines, their work directly supports both babies and the medical teams caring for them.
They also help improve facilities for families, making an incredibly difficult time just that bit more manageable.
It’s a cause that has a real, measurable impact — and one that resonates deeply with communities across the country.
A Brilliant Day at The Foundry
The event took place at The Foundry, a fantastic community venue run by the West Ham United Foundation, providing the perfect setting for a day of fundraising and a bit of friendly competition.
The entire Sunbright team turned out in full force, ready to showcase their footballing abilities — some more successfully than others.
There was a great atmosphere throughout the day, with plenty of energy, laughter, and team spirit on display. More importantly, everyone involved knew exactly what they were there for, which made the occasion even more meaningful.
Events like this are a great reminder that, outside of the day-to-day work, taking time to come together for a good cause is something that really matters.
£720 Raised for an Incredible Cause
Thanks to everyone who took part, supported, and contributed, the event raised a total of £720 for the Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity.
Every pound raised goes towards funding vital neonatal equipment — equipment that can make a life-saving difference for babies who need it most.
We’d like to thank everyone involved in making the day such a success, from those who played to those who helped organise and support the event behind the scenes.
Giving Back to the Communities We Work In
At Sunbright Energy, we’re proud to be part of the communities we work in across Kent and the South East.
While our day-to-day focus is helping homeowners reduce their energy costs and move towards more sustainable energy, it’s just as important for us to contribute in other ways where we can.
Supporting charities like Ickle Pickles is one small way of doing that — helping to make a positive impact beyond our core work.
Looking Ahead
It was an amazing day and a proud moment for everyone involved at Sunbright Energy.
Raising money for a cause that supports over 90,000 babies every year is something that puts everything into perspective, and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute.
